VIA programs foster self-expression, agency, recreation, and social engagement. Our approach emphasizes our participants’ in-the-moment strengths and personality rather than their memory or recall. We believe the most important impacts of VIA on people living with dementia include improved quality life and new perspectives from care providers when witnessing the creative potential of these individuals.

If you value the idea of creative expression in the context of care, and have the ability to run a VIA program where you work, we would love to show you how and then give you the reigns! Our training workshop delves into the essence of improvised theatre and facilitating VIA, even if you have no previous experience in improvisation. Following the 2-day training workshop, you will be certified with Inside Out Theatre to facilitate your own VIA programs at your place of work.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, we have also developed an online version of the VIA program.
